This is Rock & Gnome

And this is Rock & Gnome™

🎸 The Story of Rock & Gnome™

A little nostalgia, a little mischief… and a whole lot of personality.

The idea for Rock & Gnome™ started, as many good things do, with a moment of nostalgia and a mischievous little surprise.

James Allen (a.k.a. The Sawdust Sage™) was reminiscing about the 1978 film American Hot Wax, when legendary DJ Alan Freed proclaims, “This is Alan Freed... and this is Rock and Roll.” The line stuck — decades later, it still had that spark.

Fast forward to a quiet afternoon, when James spotted something new nestled in the living room. Lexie had done it again — another gnome. He didn’t know where she got it or when it arrived, but the grin said it all. That tiny moment became the creative nudge behind A Gnome’s Eye View, a tongue-in-cheek poem capturing life through the eyes of a gnome.

Then came the lightbulb moment.

Lexie mentioned her dad’s birthday — and casually asked, “Wouldn’t it be fun to give him a gnome-themed birthday card?” They looked. They didn’t find one. A few thoughts later and... Bob’s your uncle. Rock & Gnome™ was born.

🧙‍♂️ What We Do

Rock & Gnome™ blends handwritten wit, custom-crafted messages, and AI-assisted illustrations to create:

  • Greeting cards with more attitude than your uncle’s vinyl collection

  • Occasional gnome-themed poems (yes, they rhyme... sometimes)

  • New postcard sets just rolling out now — perfect for quick notes and big laughs

We design every card with our own voices (and a bit of gnome sass). Each one channels a little bit of rock, a little bit of rebellion, and a whole lot of fun.

🎯 Why Rock & Gnome™ Works

It’s not just about puns and pointy hats — it’s about personality. These cards aren’t just for gnome lovers. They’re for people who believe the right card can still make someone laugh out loud, tear up a little, or proudly display it on the fridge for weeks.
